SHANE Jensen
Shane is originally from Sandy, Utah and trained as a high level competitive gymnast from age 6 to the age of 13. He then began Ballroom Dancing and has had success in all styles, ranging from amateur achievements to his current professional titles.
Certified with the DVIDA dance teaching organization in all styles, Shane has furthered his knowledge of Ballroom and Latin dancing to provide qualified, educated and thorough instruction to students and professionals. He has trained students to become national finalists, perform showcase numbers and grow as social dancers. No matter what your interest in dancing may be, for Shane, the journey of helping you achieve those goals is what makes teaching so fun and enjoyable.
SHANNON Jensen
As a child, Shannon dedicated a lot of time performing to promote heart health as part of an acrobatic jump rope team for the American Heart Association. She later began dancing in a beginning ballroom dance class at her junior high school also at the age of 13 and fell in love with the art after her first day. She achieved a high level of success quickly as an amateur including becoming a 2 time National Amateur Cabaret Vice Champion, and tying for 1st in the National Amateur Pre-Championship Latin at the age of 17. She also attended Brigham Young University where she graduated with a degree in Dance.
THE Jensens
Shane and Shannon Jensen met at Brigham Young University where they were members of the world renowned BYU Ballroom Dance Company. While completing their education, they were part of the 2010 winning Blackpool Amateur Latin Formation team and had the opportunity to perform all over the world, including Scotland, England, Thailand and Vietnam.
Upon turning professional in 2012, they immediately won their first National Professional title and have since risen to the top in all styles they compete in.
The Jensens are ranked among the top six professional couples in the U.S. in the American Rhythm category and have won every major Cabaret competition in the world, including at the famed British Championships in Blackpool England.
Among the successes they've had in their professional competitive career, they have also been featured performers on many public television programs such as "Americas Got Talent", NBC's "The Today Show", PBS special "The America's Ballroom Challenge", and ASN's "The Dance League."
